Seven volunteers participated in this double-blinded crossover study. Each subject's individual results are shown by a different symbol. The group means from each stage are also marked. Baseline permeability values were similar prior to each arm of the study. In the control (whey) arm, 5 days of indomethacin caused a 3-fold rise in lactulose/rhamnose ratios (P < 0.01). Co-administration of the colostral preparation prevented this increase.
